The town of Round Hill, VA organized and celebrated its first Screen-Free Week in 2018. We were delighted to hear from resident Anastasia Campbell, Esq., that it was a real winner!

What a week! From San Diego to Sydney, kids families and communities unplugged for Screen-Free Week 2018. And not only did they survive, they had a blast!

Hadley, Finley, Tilly, and Scotia Crosby lived an extraordinary 11-month screen-free family odyssey on the seas that drew to an end in July 2017.

As an early education teacher for the past 25 years and a parent of four children, I have witnessed a change in the way children play: decreased problem solving skills, a lack of compassion toward others, an increase in obesity, a lack of experience with the outdoors and scripted play that lacks imagination.

We’ve been participating in Screen-Free Week as a family for years – for the first time, when our youngest was in preschool, and now this year, with our eldest a teenager.
